New Documentary "The Birth and History of Western Swing" showing at the Sebastiani Theatre

This new documentary from director Mike Markwardt documents the rise of Western Swing, it is heavily researched and features interviews with many of the important musicians and players in the movement. It’s a must see for any Western Swing fan.

Kevin Russell’s Familiar Strangers will be providing live music after the screening.

Tommy's January 25th Fundraising Concert for The Church of Western Swing

Tommy’s annual fundraiser will feature stellar entertainment from some of the finest musicians in the Bay Area.

Tommy’s Band

  • Doghouse Bass -— Mike Price (Dan Hicks)

  • Jacob’s Sax ————-Kenny Snakebite (Kinky Friedman)

  • Trombone Master - Mike Rinta (Everyone….!!!)

Joining Tommy will be Rockabilly Legend Mitch Polzak, (Vocals - Guitar - Banjo) Mitch puts on a fantastic performance every time—-He’s not to be missed!

Master of Ceremonies will be George Webber, actor, historian, and general cutup.

Hats, T-shirts, and Church memberships will be available for purchase.

Membership prices will be:

  • Gold $301 - $500

  • Platinum $501 - $4,999

  • Diamond $5,000 +

This annual fundraiser will help pay for our new dance floor which was flooded twice this past winter and buckled up. We thank you all for your donations. And a reminder that we are an official 501(c)3 Nonprofit. All donations made are TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
